KUSA- Estes Park says it needs help eating Halloween candy after it received five pallets of donations.

Instead of going door to door in Estes Park, trick-or-treaters head to Elkhorn Avenue, the main Street through town where businesses hand out candy. Some of the businesses  even set up haunted houses.

This year, because of the severe flooding, many businesses weren't able to purchase their usual amount of candy. The event was jeopardy, until  several candy companies stepped up and donated 5 pallets of candy.

In all the McLane Company, Mars Chocolate North America, The Hershey Company, Ferra Pan Candy, Nestle USA, and Tootsie Charms donated 141,000 pieces of candy.

Since they have so much candy, they're welcoming out of town guests to come celebrate with them. Trick or Treating is from 5-9 p.m. in downtown Estes Park on Halloween night.
