Police seek 2 in attempted robbery at light rail station

DENVER - Denver police are looking for two men who attempted to rob a woman at a light rail station.

It happened Thursday at the 30th and Downing station in Denver.

Police say the two men demanded a woman give up her cell phone. They told her that they were armed.

Police say the robbery was unsuccessful.

This is the latest incident in which the RTD station has been in the news in connection with an act of violence.

The DPD has increased patrols in the area to ensure RTD riders are safe.
