KUSA - An Estes Park resident took a picture of a what may be a wolf.
The photo was taken by an Estes Park resident who was hiking close to the Long Peak trail at the Rocky Mountain National Park.
If the animal in the photo is a wolf, it would be the first one in the park since wolves were wiped out in the 30s.
An animal behaviorist says it is tough to know for certain if it is a wolf or not.
One thing wildlife officials do know is, it is not a matter of if wolves will migrate into Colorado but more a question of when.
There have been three sightings of suspected wolves in Colorado over the past eight years.
