USA TODAY - People who wish they could make cellphone calls during flights may be in luck. And people who don't want to hear cellphone calls during flights may be headed for the worst travel experiences of their lives.
The Federal Communications Commission is considering lifting a ban that prevents passengers from using their cellphones for chatter at 30,000 feet.
The commission is slated to have a gabfest of its own about the proposed change on Dec. 12.
Meanwhile, a couple of late-night comics have had some strong opinions to share.
One thinks time would be better spent finding a way to allow four-ounce bottles of Pantene onto the plane. Another implies that one person's good conversation is another's nightmare.
