KUSA - CDOT crews went on the clock Tuesday morning and will stay out on the highways and state roads until they are all clear of snow and ice.
The crews will be working 12-hour shifts.
There are about 100 plows dedicated to the metro area down to Castle Rock and parts of the Eastern plains.
Due to the really cold temperatures, crews will mainly use solid de-icer.
