USA TODAY- Kelly Clarkson doesn't shy away from telling it like it is. And on Friday's Ellen DeGeneres show, she shares it like it is.
The singer isn't having a good time with her pregnancy so far.
"Oh my God, like it is so upsetting!" she tells Ellen.
"When I ask women ... they're like, 'Oh ...going to love this.' And I'm like, 'Oh were you sick ... and they're like, 'No.' And I want to like hit all of them with my car. I vomit a good dozen times a day. It's, like ,bad. Like, I vomited before coming out here..."
She goes on to say, "I'm not even kidding it's so bad. It's so bad. I know, it's like so gross. And that's the thing, too, you're not attractive when you're pregnant. Like everybody tells you you glow and you're hair is pretty and your nails are pretty. That's is total crap. My nails are short, my hair still falls out like it's not all lush and beautiful. And I have no glow. Unless it's like something left over from a bad throw up. It's horrible."
She adds, "I'm done talking. I'm sorry."
Clarkson, 31, insists not many pregnant women struggle this much. "Every freaking woman I talk to there's maybe one out of every 20 that's like yeah, I was sick for a week and I'm like (she laughs) OK."
So how far along is she?
"I'm 11 weeks," says Clarkson, who then tried to be a little more upbeat. "It's miserable. But I'm so happy I'm pregnant I just wish I am I just wish like he or she would stop trying to kill me."
She also says she wants to find out the sex of the baby as soon as possible, although it doesn't "matter because honestly the name we picked is if it's a boy or a girl it's the same name."
Ellen asks, "Chris?"
"No," says Clarkson.
Kelly: "No, you won't guess it. It's like a random name. It's not like some weird famous person that's gonna be like Blue Jazz. It's not gonna be like weird."
