DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Kiplinger's Personal Finance includes four universities in Colorado on its rankings of where students can expect to get the best value for their money.
The magazine compiled three lists: public colleges, private ones and liberal arts schools.
Colorado School of Mines and University of Colorado Boulder both were included among the 100 best values in public colleges. The list was derived by considering academic quality and affordability of each school. Mines was No. 82 on the list for in-state students, but was No. 76 for out-of-state students. CU Boulder was No. 98 on the in-state list and ranked No. 98 for students paying out-of-state tuition.
The University of Denver was ranked No. 53 among the 100 best values in private colleges. Colorado College, which is in Colorado Springs, was No. 15 in the ranking of the 100 best values for liberal arts colleges.
