USA TODAY - It's a pretty safe bet that a month ago, no one in the U.S. would have known who Thamsanqa Jantjie was.
Now his name has been on the lips of many Americans, though the conversations surrounding his puzzling actions at the recent Nelson Mandela memorial still come down to the same question: Who is this guy?
As a sign-language interpreter at the event, he was called a fraud.
His explanation for the fake signs:
He saw dead people, angels more specifically, flying around the stadium during a paranoid schizophrenic episode.
Well thank goodness, said one comedian, that there was a real explanation, and that we allowed a violent mental patient (during an episode) to stand only 18 inches from the president of the United States.
Another comedian shows us that anyone can make up moves, and that most of them look pretty ridiculous.
