Police seek man in violent attempted sex assault

DENVER - Denver police are looking for a man who attempted to sexually assault a Capitol Hill woman early Sunday morning.

Police say the woman was walking in the area of East 14th Avenue and North Vine Street around 4 a.m. when the man approached her.

The man made several unwanted sexual advances and then knocked the victim to the ground. He repeatedly punched the victim while attempting to remove her clothing. The attacker physically assaulted the victim and then fled on foot.

The assailant is described as a 30 to 40-year-old black male, 5'10", 185 lbs, athletic build, shaved head with a close shaved goatee.
