ARAPAHOE COUNTY - An Arvada man has been arrested in an Internet luring case, accused of arranging to meet a teenage girl for sex. The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office says the man was actually communicating with an undercover investigator posing as a 14-year-old girl.
Sheriff's officials say the investigation started in October, when the Internet Crimes Against Children unit started communicating with 24-year-old Byron Creach. Authorities say he described explicit sexual conduct, sent nude photos and detailed his intentions of having sex.
On Friday, authorities say Creach arranged a meeting near his home in Arvada, where he was arrested.
Investigators say Creach is a registered sex offender.
Creach faces charges of Internet luring of a child, Internet sexual exploitation of a child and attempted sexual assault on a child. He's being held in lieu of $50,000 bond.
