KUSA - Two ice fishermen suffered minor injuries after falling through the ice on Chatfield Reservoir Thursday morning.
The fishermen were 80 feet from the shore - near the Kingfisher access - when they fell through, according to Jefferson County authorities.
One of the fishermen was able to get out by himself. The other victim was rescued by park rangers and Littleton Fire crews.
The rescued fisherman was able to stay above the water by using an ice awl, a tool that acts as a claw to hold on to the ice if a person is not able to pull themselves out.
