DENVER - Whether you're headed up to the high country, Grandma's house or just down the street, this Christmas, many families will spend a lot of time travelling.
Unfortunately, not all kids can handle a lot of time in the car and they get motion sickness.
9Health Reporter Dr. John Torres has the following tips for parents:
- Try to distract children, so they aren't thinking about riding in the car. Listen to the radio or watch a movie.
- Have them focus on objects outside the vehicle
- Eat smaller meals.
- Time meals so they are no earlier than a half hour before you plan to leave.
