BURLINGTON, Wash. - A special ring that was made 20 years ago and went missing in the state of Washington turned up and made the perfect Christmas present for a pair of sisters.
Jack Hamming made a ring with his wife and daughters' names engraved on it 20 years ago. The ring disappeared years ago, and Hamming's daughters assumed it had been stolen when their father's home was broken into.
A public works employee discovered the ring in a sewer and informed the police who made a Facebook post on their page about the ring.
It only took a few hours before the ring was back with the owners.
The daughter's father died four years ago. The timing could not have been better and the women are grateful the ring is finally back with the family.
