USA TODAY - Bad news for royal watchers: Baby George did not make a public appearance on his first Christmas. Prince William and Duchess Kate attended Christmas Day service at Sandringham without their 5-month-old son.
"We've had a good morning with George and I can't wait until next year when he's bigger," Prince William told the crowd on his way to church, according to AFP.
A bearded Prince Harry, fresh from his South Pole expedition, was in attendance, though.
Of course, Kate was stylish as usual for church. She wore a navy and green tartan Alexander McQueen- the same one she wore to play field hockey last month- and festive green hat by Gina Foster, reports Daily Mail.
Cicely Howard, 75, from Great Yarmouth in Norfolk, told a reporter that she asked Kate about the baby.
"She told me he was having a lovely day but was more interested in the wrapping paper than the presents," she said.
