FORT COLLINS - There is nothing quite like seeing what a young person can accomplish when they put their mind to it.

After a year of work, 13-year-old Maya Bode has completed her novel. She's an honor student at Boltz Middle School in Fort Collins.

She has worked very hard to self-publish the 316-page novel, and it is available for purchase on Amazon: http://amzn.to/1eQy37W.

Her work has been read, reviewed and applauded by numerous children, teachers, adults, literary critics and respected authors.

So what's the book about? Tess Embers was just an average teenage girl... Until she ran into James Bradshaw on the street during a carnival. As she trains with him to become a spy, her life is suddenly filled with danger, love, and deception. It's enough to juggle keeping the secret from her parents and twin sister, Madison, but then she finds out that her parents have a secret of their own.

Each day plunges her into a new adventure as she fights alongside her new friends to keep the power of the mysterious Didot from falling into the wrong hands. Discover how Tess follows her heart to find her way in this three-part novel, Tess Embers.
