AURORA, Colo. (AP) - A teenager whose car was hit during a large street race in Aurora has died.
Aurora police Lt. Jeff Turner said Tuesday the teenager from Commerce City died from injuries he suffered Sunday night. He was identified as 17-year-old Louis Andrew Guerrero-Sanchez.
Turner says Gerrero-Sanchez was not participating in the race, but was there to watch. Police say he was making a turn when his Honda Civic was struck by a BMW involved in the street race on Smith Road near Ensenada Street.
Two others in the Honda were also injured, but not seriously.
Police are still trying to locate the people in the BMW.
