KUSA - Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning was named the AFC offensive player of the month, the league announced Thursday.
It is the eighth time in his career he's won the monthly honor (which is an NFL record), and fourth time in the past two seasons with the Broncos.
In December, Manning was 4-1 and set a number of NFL records while completing 145-of-214 passes for 1,755 yards and 19 touchdowns.
Manning also won the AFC monthly honor in September, and three times this season has been the AFC offensive player of the week (Weeks 1, 3 and 16).
During Sunday's win against Oakland, Manning set the NFL single-season passing yards record (5,477) and added to his NFL-record touchdown total, finishing with 55.
