GREELEY - Old chairs by the side of the road, television sets in dumpsters. Things you see in Colorado too often.
Now, there's been illegal dumping on public lands. A large hot tub was left on the west side of the Pawnee National Grassland, followed by an old blue couch at the same location.
It's illegal to dump trash from private property on to federal land. If people are caught, the fine is 500 dollars and there could be additional costs to remove the trash.
If you see suspicious activity on the Pawnee National Grassland or have information about the recent crimes, call 970-295-6719.
