KUSA - Andre Miller will miss the next two games after being suspended by the team, the Denver Nuggets announced Thursday.
The team said the point guard's suspension is "for conduct detrimental to the team" but didn't say for exactly what.
During fourth-quarter timeout in Wednesday night's loss, Miller verbally lashed out at the coaches after he had not played. It was the first time this season he has been a healthy scratch.
The Nuggets (14-17) are on an eight-game losing streak and play Friday at home against Memphis then Sunday at the Lakers.
After Wednesday's loss, Nuggets coach Brian Shaw said Miller didn't play because he "banged his knee" in Monday's loss to the Miami Heat and Miller didn't practice Tuesday.
"Once we got down I was just searching, I wanted to try to keep the tempo of the game up," Shaw said. "Tonight was just a night that [Andre] didn't get in there."
It was the first game this season Miller has not played.
