LOVELAND, Colo. (AP) - A Loveland man who fought with a deputy after being caught behind flood-evacuation lines has been sentenced to 50 days in jail.
Ethan Ramm was asked what he was doing in a disaster area closed to the public near Loveland during floods in September.
The deputy says Ramm moved his hand toward a knife and after a brief struggle, a chase ensued.
On Thursday, he pleaded guilty to third-degree assault, resisting arrest and driving without a license.
According to the Fort Collins Coloradoan, Ramm, who lives near the area, said at Thursday's sentencing hearing that he'd been riding his dirt bike in the area to check on the homes of friends.
