JEFFERSON COUNTY - In the past two days, deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office have located five water bottle bombs.
The first device was found on Thursday near the Edge Ice Arena. The bomb squad was called to the area and determined that the device was not dangerous.
Friday morning, a park employee found four other devices at Easton Park near C-470 and Bowles Avenue. Two of the bombs were in the park and two were on a sports field. Those devices had already detonated.
Water bombs are considered dangerous and can make a loud explosion. The bombs were chemical based, and are usually made in 2-liter plastic bottles.
If anyone has information regarding these bombs, they are asked to call the sheriff's office tip line at 303-271-5612.
