DENVER - One happy Colorado couple decided to make their wedding day even sweeter, by having it at the newly opened Voodoo Doughnut shop in Denver on 1/4/14 at 1:14 p.m.
Whether you believe it or not, Chris and Chanti Hayes said the wedding was not planned this way; they got lucky and it all seemed to fall right into place.
The Hayes' wanted to have their wedding at the Voodoo Doughnut shop and Wedding Chapel in Denver as soon as it opened. The newlyweds happened to be the very first couple to have their ceremony at the Denver location.
Voodoo Doughnut CEO Robin Ludwig said, having wedding ceremonies at the shop is a very common event in Portland, Oregon, and will hopefully become popular at the doughnut place in Denver too.
The Hayes' family said they tend to be quite nontraditional and thought Voodoos Doughnuts best represents their family.
Their wedding picture will go up on the wall and be a memory at the doughnut shop.
Every wedding the CEO pulls out a different costume for the event. The Hayes' experienced the chicken suit.
It is a fun and cheap way to get married and have a good time. Anybody who has a marriage certificate from the city can have their ceremony at the shop.
