KUSA - For the first time ever, the Broncos will face the Chargers in the playoffs.
The AFC West division foes will face San Diego in the Divisional Round of the AFC Playoffs on Sunday at 2:40 p.m. No. 6 seeded San Diego defeated the No. 3 seeded Cincinnati Bengals 27-10 Sunday to earn the right to visit Denver. The Broncos have a bye due to their No. 1 overall seeding.
"We'll see. You don't want to dig too deep into it because you start having too many thoughts going through your head. We'll just sit back and watch and see what's going on," offensive coordinator Adam Gase said of watching the games this weekend in anticipation of who the Broncos will play on Sunday. Several players admitted that they did not watch the games last season before losing to the Baltimore Ravens.
"Whoever comes out of that thing then we just have to jump on it as quickly as possible and try to put a plan together," he continued.
The Chargers were the last team to beat the Broncos as they did so on Thursday Night Football in mid-December.
