KUSA - San Diego isn't concerned if they'll be able to beat the Broncos - they've already done that once this year. They're more worried about being too confident in their preparation.

"We will be confident, and I think we have to be careful that we're not overconfident," Rivers said following San Diego's victory on the road over the Bengals. "It doesn't mean anything, but it will give us confidence because we have gone in there and won before."

The Broncos will host the Chargers Sunday at 2:40 p.m.

Denver and San Diego split the season series - the road team winning each time - but they were both tight games. The Chargers undaunted quarterback was an efficient 12-of20 for 166 yards, 2 touchdowns and no interceptions month prior at Sports Authority Field.

"You're talking about the best quarterbacks and offenses of all-time," asserted Rivers. He also complimented - emphasizing that Sunday's game is far from a sure thing - the Broncos defense on their ability to fly around and feed on the crowd noise.

"They are a No. 1 seed for a reason but we will go in there hungry, fired up and they'll get our best," he continued.

Rivers has never been one to lack confidence - and although it may not even matter - the overzealous, self-assurance will favor the Broncos.
