DENVER - Denver Police are searching for a 1985 white Chevy sedan involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash Thursday morning.

According to Denver Police, the crash happened at the intersection of South Colorado Boulevard and East Exposition Avenue at 9:05 a.m.

The victim, Leanna Hund, 63, was transported to the hospital and died at 10.26 a.m.

A witness said the impact of the crash was large enough that the driver knew he hit someone.

"I saw them go over [the victim]. Whoever was in the car had to have known they ran over something. You can see the car bounce. It was apparent that they hit something and just kept going," Kristi Chacon said.

Police spoke with the owner of the vehicle but did not arrest the person. The car is at a crime lab for further processing.

Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867) or by using the Metro Denver Crime Stoppers mobile app. All tipsters remain anonymous and are eligible for an award of up to $2,000.
