KUSA - A very rare alligator, named Mr. Bo Mangles stopped by 9NEWS Saturday morning before he headed back to the Denver Boat Show.
Mr. Bo Mangles is a large albino alligator and is around seven feet long. His handler from Colorado Gator and Reptile Park describes him as a mellow gator.
Albino alligators are very rare, with only about 40 in the world.
These rare alligators often struggle when it comes to survival. Unlike most alligators they cannot rely on their color to camouflage themselves in the environment.
They often have problems when they are in the sun too long, sometimes causing blistering and burns to form on their skin.
The Colorado Gator and Reptile Park helps the albino gators beat the odds.
