FORT COLLINS - Somebody shot a nurse with a pellet gun while she was jogging in Fort Collins.
Fort Collins police say it happened in the southeast part of town on Saturday afternoon.
"She stopped and ended up noticing that she had a little bit of blood. She called her husband, who came and picked her up," Fort Collins police spokesperson Rita Davis said.
When she got home she realized the wound was from pellet gun, according to Davis.
"At this point, we don't know if it was a person that was out with a gun in the area, in the open fields in the area around her or whether it was somebody who was in a car that was driving by," Davis said. "We have very little information about what the source was."
The person responsible could face a charge of reckless endangerment or third-degree assault.
