KUSA - It's almost Girl Scout cookie time again but before you start planning on how many boxes you want, you should know that the price for a box has gone up by 50 cents.
Inflation and the rising cost of the raw ingredients are the reasons behind the Girl Scout cookie box increase in the metro area.
In the past, the cookies have been $3.50 a box. However other Girl Scout locations around the country made the price change last year.
You will be able to purchase boxes of cookies for $4.00 starting Jan. 26.
