KUSA - While the Patriots are trying to figure out Peyton Manning's changes in snap counts, the Denver Broncos quarterback gave them a big of insight ... well, kind of.

Manning met Wednesday afternoon was a large national media contingent, and he was asked about his snap counts, and in particular the use of "Omaha" as an audible word.

Question: Peyton, what is it you love about the city of Omaha?

"Is that like a fan written-in questions," Manning joked. "I know a lot of people ask what Omaha means.

"Omaha is a run play, but it could be a pass play or a play-action pass depending on a couple things: the wind, which way we're going, quarter and the jerseys that we're wearing. So it varies, really, play to play. There's your answer to that one."

He later added using the word Omaha, "it wasn't my pick."

On a more serious tone, the Broncos talked Wednesday about their collapse in the Week 12 game at New England.

Denver had a 24-0 lead at halftime only to have to rally to tie the game at 31 at the end of regulation before losing 34-31 in overtime.

"Finish. That's the topic of that game, and it'll be the topic of this game," Broncos linebacker Wesley Woodyard said. "These guys aren't going to go away. If they're down 30 points, they're going to play the same way as if they're up 30 points. They're not going to go away."

The Broncos defense forced fumbles on the Patriots' first three drives, including Von Miller's 60-yard return for a touchdown. Denver had a 17-0 lead with three minutes left in the first quarter.

While Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno had a career day with 224 yards on 37 carries, Manning had season-worst 150 yards on 19-of-36 passing.

"I think you look back at the game, but at the same game it's a new game, the style is different, the way we go about things, the weather will be different - a lot of those different things," Broncos receiver Wes Welker said of his first game against the team he played for the past six seasons. "You take a lot from it, but at the same time you don't dive in to it too much or over-analyze it or anything else.

"You just try to get ready the best you can and understand the game is not going to be totally the same, but still do your homework from the last one."
