LAKEWOOD - Lakewood Police are looking for a man they say may have stolen several pieces of electronics before spraying an employee with pepper spray while trying to get out of the store.

The robbery happened on Wednesday around 3:30 p.m. at the Belmar Best Buy store at 384 S. Wadsworth Blvd. in Lakewood.

When the loss prevention employee saw the man leaving the store he attempted to stop the shoplifter at the door. That's when the man sprayed the employee in the face with pepper spray. The employee was able to retrieve one piece of stolen electronics but it is believed the man made off with more.

The shoplifter is described as a man in his mid-20, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and about 170 pounds. He was carrying a black shoulder bag.
