DENVER- For more than 50 years, the Sparks family says they have been the Denver Broncos' number one fan. It all started with Jo Ann Sparks' father back in the 1960's. She says her father would always cook dinner on game day.

"He was a cook and he owned restaurants around town. He would always make a roast and it would be ready for dinner after the Broncos played. At that time, we were lucky to get season tickets and we got wonderful seats. It became quite a fixture," Sparks said.

Now, more than 50 years later, the tradition still lives on. Sparks' children have passed the tradition on to their kids and grandchildren. So on Saturday, when the Broncos played the Patriots, their Wash Park home was decked out in orange and blue. Cheese was cut in the shape of footballs. Strawberries were dressed up and the family's specialty popcorn was made.

"It was something our father always made. I make sure that I get the pan really hot before I add the kernels," Kathleen Bennett said.

The Sparks say they see the Broncos as part of their family. So regardless of if the Broncos go all the way or not, they will still love them and will continue to cheer them on.

"Family knows you and accepts you always and that's just like the Broncos. We're going to love them always and accept them always," Bennett said.
