KUSA - The CrossFit Community across the country continues to support and rally behind one of their own, Kevin Ogar, who was paralyzed during a fundraising competition last week.
Ogar is a Crossfit coach and competitor right here in the Denver metro area.
Last weekend, Ogar was competing in OC Throwdown in Orange County, California - a nonprofit that raises money for breast cancer patients and awareness.
On Jan. 14, Ogar's life changed forever. He suffered a traumatic injury to his spinal cord as a result of a "freak accident."
At this time, Ogar has undergone several major surgeries and has no movement below the waist.
Ogar didn't have health insurance and instantly the crossfit world started rallying behind the cause to raise money for Ogar.
Right now, it's at $303,000 with donations coming in from all over the world.
