BROOMFIELD - Burglars were caught on camera smashing their way into a jewelry store around 4:45 a.m. Sunday morning. The damage was costly but what they told each other while inside Timothy's Fine Jewelry is bizarre.

In the surveillance video, three suspects are seen breaking in through a side window using a sledgehammer. They are calm and collected as they proceed to break jewelry cases and take what's inside. As they're doing so, they repeatedly tell each other, "I love you, brother."

"They're loving each other and calling each other brother the whole time. Why you're invading someone else's space and talking about how much love you have for each other is kind of disturbing," said Tim Nichols, the president of the store. "It was maddening and disturbing."

Nichols said the suspects got away with more than 30 pieces of jewelry in a white 4 door car. The whole process took about a minute.

The three men were wearing blue, checkered and black hoodies. One of the suspects was wearing a grey hat with a large "303" on it. If you have any information call Broomfield Police: (303) 438-6400.
