USA TODAY - Week 3 of 'The Bachelor' started with single mom Cassandra getting the first one-on-one date with Juan Pablo, where the two of them rode in a car that could drive on water.
She kept saying that she hadn't been on a date since she was 18, which was three years ago, since she's only 21.
She showed JP a few pictures of her 2-year-old son, and he was quite impressed with her parenting skills. To show his appreciation, he gave her a rose.
Then the group date pitted the girls against each other in a soccer match. JP showed off his skills on the field, and the group all enjoyed a cocktail party in the stadium after-hours.
Next came Chelsie's one on one date, and the two tandem bungee jumped off a bridge after MUCH deliberation. Chelsie felt empowered by the experience and said that she feels that jumping off the bridge sets her up for a real relationship i.e. having kids and being best friends.
She got a rose, and the two of them danced to country music singer Billy Currington serenading them.
Juan Pablo surprised the girls early one morning by making them a special Venezuelan breakfast. He saw them at their most natural, presumably. Some of the girls had a harder time with that than others. I'm still not convinced some of the girls didn't sneak a little foundation and mascara before they made their debut in front of the cameras.
Then JP said he would rather forego the cocktail party scheduled for that night to host a pool party at the house that afternoon. Drama ensued when Sharleen kissed JP by the pool when everyone could see her.
Clare had a hard time seeing other girls cozy up to JP. It's almost like she forgot she was on 'The Bachelor.' The setting is so realistic, I'm sure it's very easy to forget you're on a reality show.
JP sent home Christy and Lucy, and still has 13 girls in the running.
