DENVER - A former Faith Christian Academy student who we profiled in our Storytellers series in 2012 has passed away. Kaylee McBeth was only 19 years old.
In February 2012, former 9NEWS Storyteller Dave Delozier introduced 9NEWS viewers to McBeth. Four months after her father passed away from an undetected virus in his heart, doctors discovered a tumor entangled in McBeth's heart.
Despite the prognosis, McBeth pushed forward and continued to succeed at school and in life.
According to McBeth's pastor, Rick Long, McBeth passed away quietly while sleeping.
"She was in no pain," Long said.
The night before, McBeth enjoyed an evening with her family.
