BOULDER- The Boulder County District Attorney's Office determined the officer-involved shooting that left one man dead was justified, according to a Tuesday release.
Boulder County Sheriff Deputies Brandon Bussard and Gary Robinson were dispatched Dec. 29 to 8309 N. 95th Street in Boulder County regarding a possible suicidal subject, Christopher George.
The sheriff's office said George pulled a handgun out and pointed the gun right at Deputy Bussard. Bussard pulled out his gun and shot George three times, according to a press release. He died later on at the hospital.
The DA's final report said George put the deputy in a position where he was forced to use his gun in order to defend himself.
The Boulder County Sheriff's Office added Deputy Bussard had to protect himself and did exactly what he was trained to do.
