USA TODAY - A week after declaring himself sober and off alcohol, Toronto Mayor Rob Ford acknowledged Tuesday to drinking " a little bit" after a video showed him apparently drunk and swearing at a fast-food restaurant Monday night.

The embattled mayor defended his behavior, which included profanity directed at Police Chief Bill Blair. "What I do in my personal life and with my personal friends, that's up to me," he said, the Globe and Mail reported.

Ford added that he did not drive himself home and did not use drugs.

The video, just over one minute, was shot at a Steak Queen in the city's Etobicoke district and posted to YouTube.

It shows Ford talking to a group of unidentified men about Blair and apparently a drug investigation directed at him and a friend who is an alleged drug dealer. Speaking in a Jamaican accent, the mayor implies he's conducting "countersurveillance" on the chief, whom he disparages with several obscenities.

The CBC has more of the mayor's monologue.

Blair has seen the video but would not comment to reporters.

"We don't respond to personal attacks," said police spokesman Mark Pugash.
