HIGHLANDS RANCH - ThunderRidge High School parents and students received a note detailing what happened when a threatening telephone call came into the school on Tuesday.
The letter read as follows:
Dear ThunderRidge High School Parents and Students:
Tonight, we want to inform you of a safety concern that occurred today. After school, the main office received an anonymous telephone call of a threatening nature. The initial investigation, conducted by Douglas County School District Security and Douglas County Sheriff's Office, has deemed this situation to have low credibility.
As a precautionary measure, we have secured additional school district security and uniformed law enforcement officers to be present on campus tomorrow. Please know, the safety and security of our students, faculty, and staff is our highest priority.
If you are aware of any information regarding this situation, we ask that you contact the main office, the anonymous Text-A-Tip line (please include ThunderRidge in the body of the text), or Douglas County Sheriff's Office. We will keep you informed as additional information becomes available. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
