DENVER - You don't have to look far while walking the streets of Denver to see the pride that the city has. From lights to banners, the orange and blue hue is everywhere.
"Denver has so much pride. I love this city. I've never lived in a city that has so much pride. It's great here," Justen Cornell said.
Fans have been waiting for the moment to see their boys head to the bowl for over a decade, so needless to say, that feeling has been missed.
"It's just really incredible. I can't describe the emotion we as true fans have. It's really indescribable. We're going to the Super Bowl," Che Miller said.
Mixed in with the signs and banners, folks who travel around town will see some light-hearted humor. Along Broadway, just outside the Hornet, is a rather catchy sign that has gotten a lot of attention lately.
The sign reads: "Seattle has a chump; we've got a champ."
"For the most part, we've just been having fun with school yard antics. Anyone who is really upset they may not understand what Denver feels about this sports team. We're very passionate," Hornet assistant GM Meghan Curry said.
Humor can be found all throughout the city and, for the most part, it's all in good fun. After all, Broncos fans are living it up because we haven't partied like this since 1999.
