DENVER - Reverend Brad Laurvick is organizing a food-drive challenge between the Methodist churches in Denver and the Methodist churches in Seattle to foster some friendly competition before the cities' teams appear in the Super Bowl on Feb. 2.
Thirty-five Denver churches have signed up to participate in the challenge and at least that many have signed up in Seattle as well.
Laurvick launched the website http://unitedinorange.org to organize Denver's efforts and is waiting for the Seattle website to launch.
All food collected will be given to each city's area food banks.
