Police car rammed by stolen vehicle

THORNTON - Thornton Police were on an unrelated call in the 400 block of 88th Avenue early Thursday morning when their police car was rammed by two suspects in a stolen vehicle, according to the Thornton Police Department.

Sgt. Mauser of the Thornton Police Department said the investigation shows the suspects may have thought the officers were there for them and may have purposefully rammed the officers.

Both of the officers were in the police car at the time of the crash. They are okay.

The suspects ran from the scene, and it is not known if either of are injured.

Police have not determined the identity of either of the suspects at this time.
