DENVER - Two people were forced out of their home and into temperatures in the mid-teens around 4 a.m. Monday when a fire broke out in their home located in the 400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.

They were able to make it out of their home safely on their own.
The pair said they haven't been able to find their cat.

Because of heavy damage, firefighters say the residents will not be able to return home.

They will have to find shelter somewhere else.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
