KUSA - Those in-demand 9NEWS "Time To Ride" Broncos clingy thingys are everywhere it seems. Even at 30,000 feet.
Colorado native and U.S. Navy Lt. Commander Matt Maher took a picture of a clingy posted in the cockpit of his EA-18G Growler jet, as he cruised above the mountains of Washington State where he is based. Yep, Seahawks country. The photo has blown up on 9NEWS social media since it was first tweeted out earlier this week.
Another shows his backseater, another Coloradoan, Flight Officer Per Rychecky, sporting his Broncos flight helmet. Both men are part of VAQ-135, an electronic attack squadron based at Air Station Whidbey Island north of Seattle. The squadron is known as The Black Ravens.
Full disclosure. As you might have guessed from my byline, Matt is my son. And yes, I am one very proud Dad.
