JERSEY CITY, N.J. - During a brief security scare Friday near MetLife Stadium, things amped up outside the Denver Broncos team hotel.

Friday, there were suspicious packages sent to five hotels near the stadium. It was later determined the white powder, inside at least one of them, was corn starch. A package was also sent to the office of former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, and it was determined not to be dangerous.

During that time, security along the Hudson River near the Broncos hotel in Jersey City was increased. There has been a constant presence of small Coast Guard and police boats along the river. Friday there was a large Coast Guard ship stationed out front, as well as a flyby of a Coast Guard helicopter.

Later, perhaps in a show of force, a fleet of 13 military helicopters flew down the Hudson River, past the hotel around the Statue of Liberty then back up the Hudson.

But it wasn't too serious as a few police officers went out on the pier and took pictures of the helicopters fly by.
