KUSA - When the Super Bowl winds up Sunday, New York will host another big event starting next week.

UNITED IN ORANGE: Super Bowl XLVIII Special Coverage from 9NEWS - Home of the Broncos

It's the Super Bowl of dog shows, the Westminister Kennel Club Dog Show at Madison Square Garden.

And the long time voice of the show has some pretty deep connections to the Broncos.

David Frei was the assistant PR Director when the Broncos went to their first Super Bowl in 1977.

He's got pictures of him with all the players and coach Red Miller.

And he sometimes wears his Super Bowl ring from the game.

He also has a bigger ring from Super Bowl 33, his dad was an assistant coach, scout and administrator for the Broncos for years.

Ironically David also used to own a bar in Seattle.

So who's he rooting for Sunday?

The Broncos of course because "blood is thicker than beer."
