DENVER - Brittany Anderson, a Denver Broncos cheerleader in the 2013 season, grew up hearing the stories of her mother in the 1970's proudly cheering for the same team.
"I just remember always talking about my mom. The fact that she went to the Super Bowl," Anderson said.
Now, it's Brittany's turn . She's going to the Super Bowl, just like her mother did this Sunday.
"And now, it's just like, she can be proud of me for following in her footsteps," she said.
It's a rare and indescribable bond the mother and daughter say they're lucky to share.
"It will be the most exciting thing that she's ever done," explains George Anderson, Brittany's mother.
George cheered for the Broncos in 1978 when the Broncos lost to the Dallas Cowboys in the Super Bowl. She wants her daughter to soak in the experience but they all want something else a whole lot more.
"We want a victory. That's something I didn't get so that's the thing I want for her the most! A victory," her mother said.
