USA TODAY - Justin Bieber may be jetting around and skateboarding around stirring up constant controversy, but he's now got a March 3 trial date, set Tuesday, in Miami for his recent arrest on charges of driving under the influence, resisting arrest and driving with an invalid license.
Bieber's attorneys have filed a written plea of not guilty, reports AP.
The plea means his Feb. 14 arraignment has been nixed, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The 19-year-old pop star was arrested along with his pal, R&B singer Khalial Amir Sharieff, after a drag race involving two fancy cars. Breath tests showed Bieber's blood alcohol content below the .02% threshold for underage drivers. Police say a toxicology test detected marijuana and Xanax in his system.
The March 3 court date is just one week before he's set to appear in a Toronto court to answer to an assault charge, stemming from an incident last year in which he is said to have struck a limo driver in the back of the head several times.
