KUSA - On this cold, cold day, wouldn't it be great if the boss let you come to work, in your warm, fuzzy, jammies?? Guess what: you can.
Mayor Michael B. Hancock came by 9NEWS 7 a.m. to talk about PJ Day in Denver.
PJ Day serves as a reminder that not all people have a place to put on their pajamas and go to sleep at night. In Denver, more than 5,200 men, women, children, veterans, seniors and families are homeless. The day culminates with its annual fundraising event, the PJ Party, featuring comfort food and drinks, raffle prizes, jazz music and mingling with regional leadership, businesses, nonprofits and others who support ending homelessness.
More than $2 million has been raised since the inception of PJ Day. The money raised goes directly toward solutions to end homelessness and strengthen self-sufficiency.
