DENVER (AP) - A new poll shows Senator Mark Udall in a tight race for re-election.
The Democratic Senator narrowly leads his possible Republican challengers in a Quinnipiac University Poll released Thursday. Colorado voters are evenly divided on whether Udall merits re-election.
Udall is running between two to five points ahead of the Republicans seeking their party's nomination to challenge him in November.
The poll finds President Obama is very unpopular in Colorado. Voters disapprove of his job performance by nearly a 3-2 margin. They oppose Obama's health care law by similar margins. But they overwhelmingly favor his goals of giving citizenship to people in the United States illegally and raising the minimum wage.
The poll also finds Hillary Clinton behind her possible Republican rivals in the 2016 presidential election.
