KUSA - Thursday, a man from Aurora was sentenced for his role in a crime involving a blowtorch.
A judge sentenced Julio Vazquez to 67 years in prison. The 32-year-old and two other men and a woman were also involved with the crime.
The victim was tied up with packaging tape and then burned with a blowtorch. The torture inflicted second and third-degree burns, which required skin grafts.
Prosecutors called the crime, "A grotesque nightmare usually reserved for a horror movie."
Vazquez was the last of men to be sentenced. The others pled guilty prior to trial. Their sentences ranged from 18 to 22 years in prison.
